Every year, the Whitley Bay fireworks display attracts thousands of people to the coast. Unfortunately some people think it's ok to drop litter and leave their mess behind. After finding it such a mess in 2018, this year I organised a volunteer group through Facebook to help with the clean up the morning after. Four of us collected 10 bags of rubbish, and now the Links area is back to normal. Big thanks to Catherine, Andy and Keith, as well as Marcus and Dave form the council who supported the clean up!
